It has been our first visit to Fiji for both of us and we are already talking about coming back next year. It has been a great experience. and there are so many more areas we we are yet to explore here.
As we have been busy here we have been slack in updating the blog and as usual we are trying to do a last minute post before we lose internet for a while.
The best way to share our experiences is via photos.
These are from Fulagu village on the day they put on a picnic feast and dancing for us.
Ann with our host family at Fulagu after Sunday lunch with them.
Celebratory drinks with Peter & Lorraine off Pixie, from Sydney for Lorraine's birthday.
Fire dancers, those grass skirts had us worried, but they must have been fire retardant as the flames got pretty close.
Ann on look out for reef and bommies as we navigate through a reef entrance.
A great anchorage once in through the reef pass, and yes that is a sea plane landing. Sometimes they would come across the front of our boat awfully close.
Vuda Marina, between Lautoka and Nadi. Not a floating pontoon like we are used to, getting on and off via the plank at the top and bottom of the tide was a challenge at times.
